BBA MAPLE & PECAN IMPERIAL STOUT
4S AUTUMN '22 WAS AN OPPORTUNITY to have fun with maple, a flavor that has few uses outside of big dessert-like beers. Notes of chocolate and coffee malts also create a rich environment that meld perfectly with sweet maple and nutty, earthy pecan. The mouthfeel is thick and luscious, and the aroma is like dessert-in-a-glass without over-the-top sweetness. Brown sugar is added late-boil to create a distinct brûlée finish.

Had this on tap at BeerNV when it was fresh, on tap, then Adam brought the winter can to March Madness 2023. I like this one more.
Pours black. Brown head that dissipates into a 1/3" brown ring. Impressive rich appearance. The aroma is slightly better, waves of maple first, and pecan and bourbon next. A fitting tribute to Autumn. Roasted malt coffee chocolate combo discussion. Doesn't smell "sweet" but the taste and mouth feel will confirm, it is sweet, literally, figuratively, whatever, Orange Cassidy rules.
The taste is the high point for the beer, it delivers on every single aspect that it boasts about on the label. Its the right proportion too, not too much of any one thing, the maple is done just right, even a light butter pancake feel alongside it. Its a dessert beer, but also still qualifies as a really good bourbon barrel imperial stout. Right viscosity, covers alcohol very well, not too bitter, sweet nor harsh. I just can't seem to get enough of your love.

Draft at Boise taproom. Dark brown pour, ring of beige head with a few wispy strands. Aroma is heavenly, robust blend of maple and pecans. Taste doesn't relent, sweet, sugary flavors with a rich nutty accent. Mild heat. Lovely all the way through.

Pours black with a dark copper colored two finger head. Aroma is very maple, with chocolate, vanilla and bourbon present. I need to say this: the aroma is wonderfully delicious. Just inhaling this aroma is almost enough. Taste is complex, with maple. chocolate, bourbon and pecans coming through equally and interestingly, one at a time. Mouthfeel is moderately bodied, complex and the ABV is just right. Put this on your list to try. This is delicious.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the Boise, Idaho location as part of a four sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with thin ecru head which did not leave lace. The beer was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel was fuller in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

A very rich, sweet, and smooth offering from M.E. here - pours pitch black with a creamy mocha head. Chocolate and maple syrup abound, nice nutty pecan character, boozy bourbon barrel.
