Poured a dark chocolate color with a thin khaki colored head that dissipated quickly from a 650ml bomber into a Samuel Smith Imperial pint glass; left a small ring of suds around the side of the glass which left spotty lacing and remained carbonated throughout the experience. Aroma of chicory, chocolate, vanilla bean were forward with hints of raspberry also present. Flavor was dark up front with coffee to start, a mild hoppy bitterness mid mouth and a semi sweet finish. Mouth was slightly syrupy , medium to heavy in body with a nice tingle on the tongue, very little alcohol burns for 10.5% ABV. For a 5 year old brew that I aged for over a year this was excellent!

Bottle at share, courtesy of Toby. Black, flat pour, tiny ring of head. Aroma features the raspberries prominently, taste too. Chocolate notes as well. Roasty and sweet.
