another new one from these guys, some great rotation on their tap list of late, appreciate all this new stuff! this one is a little underwhelming, especially from these guys, who make some of the best hoppy beer in town. honey colored, close to clear, short white head from the tap at their downtown spot, a slightly catty nose suggesting mosaic, a little bit sweet and a little bit bitter, but also a little bit samey and tired for something that is presumably fresh, grassy, faint green onion like i sometimes get from idaho grown hops like idaho 7 and idaho gem, but also a little spiciness as it warms, northwestern and of wide and also somewhat old school appeal, but for these guys i think its pretty middle of the road. it has a medium body, a basically simple pale two row grain base from what i can tall, a slightly bready fermentation thats really subtle, and some late bitterness that gives it some snap, but also a little more body than it needs, a not incredibly cohesive or exotic hop range, and overall a fine drinker but like unnecessarily strong for these flavors. seems like just a beer for the sake of it, no real ingredient or recipe stoke, nothing even very creative about it, which is not what i have come to expect from their hoppy stuff. a decent pint but not one ill seek out in the future, and probably not worthy of being canned, especially when considered in the context of their full range of ipa types...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
