Higher Learning is all about highlighting the featured hops by using a familiar and consistent malt profile that allows Sabro, Galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin to shine. Aroma and flavor profiles of coconut, peach, passionfruit, mango and a touch of dankness, combined with a soft wheatdriven mouthfeel create an exceptionally smooth finish. As opposed to our year-round HIPA, Heavy Cloud, which is a lighter, citrusy affair, Higher Learning is a fuller mouthfeel with a more robust mid-palate and a richer overall impression.

among the best of the recent project x beers, seems like the pace of these has picked up, love the nelson hops on this one, the creamy feel, and the resplendent freshness, a great combination of hops, and a great beer, super dig this one. it would be cool to rebrew a bunch of the highlights of the series and have them all around at the same time, and i reckon this would make the cut. pretty milky looking, creamed up and thick in the glass with a frothy inch of thick white head and pretty lace as it drinks, definitely looks a little heavy as these go, but it doesnt drink that way despite the hop intensity, its so fresh and so tropical that the hops ride right through all this starchy cloudiness and make this drink kind of easy, summery for sure. aroma and flavor bring layers of white coconut flesh, key lime, white peach, and mango, really vibrant, galaxy at its best, white grapey nelson character more and more evident as it warms, and im getting all the terpenes and thiols and volatiles that everyone is chasing, seems effortless in this, nothing green, low bitterness, not harsh at all, slightly sweet for sure but it almost works like an exclamation mark on the hops at the end, all three of these varietals on fine display and in excellent proportion, purest form, so good. its juicy and ripe, super peachy and fragrant, floral and dynamic, and a lot less malty than it looks, almost a little raw underneath all the hops, but it works. creamy and super soft feeling, all in service of these hops. smooth, slightly strong, concentrated and poppy, great carbonation. i love this one, and for how lackluster some of the everyday mother earth beers seem these days, these project x releases continue to be the best hoppy beers available in idaho...
