On-tap at Mother Earth
A: For an India "Pale" Lager, this beer is rather dark. Solid amber in color with a big white head.
S: Sweet, caramel dominates the aroma. A mild citrus hop note to it with a bit of grapefruit. There is some other sweet citrus. The more I smell it, though, the more the sweet malt comes through and dominates.
S: Like with the nose, lots of sweet tangerine and oranges in terms of the hop flavor. Tons of caramel and toffee sweetness to the flavor. A bit of bitterness on the finish, but this beer is almost cloying.
M: The body is a bit on the heavy side due to the about 1.080 finishing gravity. Medium carbonation is present.
O: Way too sweet for its own good. No thanks.

Sampled 6/26/2011 at the brewery.
Pours amber, clear, some white head and a decent amount of retetion and lacing. The only thing majorly wrong here is the color.
Aroma is mostly malt and earthy/piney hops. Not a bad start, though there is a bit of strange spiciness and a touch of fish food in the background.
Flavor is not hoppy at all just bitter and sweet. Definitely has a lager flavor and is pretty clean but just way too sweet and heavy. Also get a touch of grape and cardboard, not sure where that comes from.
Body is mediumish, kind of heavy for a pils.
