Brewed using new-school techniques and advanced hop products, the focus is on delivering bold hop flavor and aroma through a deceivingly light-bodied and easy-drinking beer. Citra goes 3-ways with Traditional T-90 pellets, cryo pellets and Abstrax brand Quantum extracts. This wave of soft tropical fruit and tangy citrus from Citra is amplified with juicy grapefruit, mango and dark berries from Krush hops. Passion fruit, white grape and kiwi from New Zealand grown Superdelic round-out the mix.

Draft at Belmont Brew House. Clear golden pour, skin of tight white head. Grassy aroma, faint hoppy/citrus notes. Taste is hoppy, approachable, pine, citrus, mild bitterness. Smooth and really delicious.

sweet to get a collaboration with breakside, one of the most respected operations in the region, and i was stoked to get a chance to drink on this, but its yet another one from these guys that seems sort of overly terpy and thiol forward, whether there are engineered yeasts and added terpenes in here or not, its kind of been their thing lately, and this seems just a touch overdone in that regard, but its also delicious, well made, and a nice full spectrum showcase of citra with the different varietal specific products used, so neat idea there and it shows in the glass, maybe its the citra extracts that make it seem dosed a bit, intensity way up here even though the bitterness is moderate. there is also superdelic and krush in here, so a killer hop profile, some berry and some grape candy to this behind the more robust citra, well selected. lighter grain base and body, paler color but not too too minimal, there is balance here. hits of pineapple, lemon curd, subtle dill and cannabis, oily on the palate with all the hops, ever so slightly toasted on the grain side but earthy and way back overall, some higher tone almost estery hop character in this, not into bubblegum or anything but also like a coriander note or something in there. this is off dry, a hint of juniper comes late, its got decent but not bracing bitterness, and there is an obvious freshness about it thats really appealing. its a bit of a mind bender on account of the fact that i never usually associate citra with this level of overall hop intensity, and this is really punchy, but its a cool side of a well known hop and well supported with new school stuff too, the beer is modern and fun. good get for mother earth, something a little different overall here.
