On nitro at Mother Earth in Vista, CA. Typical black porter appearance. Aroma is lovely coffee beans. Flavor is a delicious porter with a wonderful coffee flavor. Probably the best beer I had at Mother Earth which says a lot.

Pours an opaque black with a tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Thin rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, coffee beans, and coffee grounds. Taste is of dark roasted malt and huge coffee flavors. There is a nice roasty coffee bitterness on the palate after each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good porter that is very well done in terms of incorporating the coffee aspect.

On tap at Urge.
A: Very dark brown with some transparency near the edges of the glass. The fizzy light brown head disappears in the blink of an eye.
S: Pungent and earthy coffee with a trace of nuttiness. Strong roasted grain profile. Dark chocolate is pronounced.
T: Dark chocolate, roasted grains, and a powerful coffee profile. It's earthy and lightly nutty. There's a lower moderate bitterness with a touch of licorice.
M: Upper medium to lower full body with moderate carbonation.
Overall: A nice coffee porter..
