newest in this project x series that keeps on giving, and its a great one, a little less terpene driven than they have been, some have maybe gone a little too far with that, strata and galaxy here, killer combination, peak freshness right now without being green or vegetal at all, and they have gotten the most from these hops, absolutely popping in both aroma and flavor, really good hazy, but most of them in this series are. super pale which is on trend, sort of whitewashed looking, straw colored and starchy without being too thick and murky, great carbonation collecting into a high and lasting white head that peaks over the rim of the glass, looks great! the aroma has the coconut side of strata with some danky even kind of fuel-like intensity up front, with more of the limey and herbal galaxy later, hints of green grass, daffodil, lime leaf, green gooseberry, and white wine grape all there, pineapple candy without being sweet, dry cereal grain character underneath, turned way up in intensity, but its not too much, distinctive hop aroma for sure, love these two together. the flavor is similar with the strata hitting a little earlier to me, notes of green melon and kiwi fruit, lush and fresh, long and shifting flavor climax with very little from the malt, punchy citrus, and a nice tropical fade at the end, mango and tangerine to me, if dosed with terps this is much more tastefully done than some of them have been, if its all pellets, wow, well done! the intensity suggests the former, but its really good, some bitterness still in this, but its mild. very modern, as these tend to be, sort of creamy from the grain, near dry, tidy on the ferment, kind of summery vibes to this, will certainly drink my share of it. the project x stuff remains the best of mother earth by quite a wide margin...
