Project X highlights Strata (T90/CGX) with Krush and Citra CRYO. Expect mango, passionfruit, and grapefruit zest with subtle strawberry and dankness. Citra lifts the citrus, Krush adds stone fruit, and a smooth mouthfeel rounds out a bright, tropical finish.

the latest in this awesome series, really powerfully hoppy beer, almost overly fresh to me, on the edge of too much, but without harsh or vegetal character at all, just that high thiol intensity that makes this marginally less repeatable, at least for me, some palate permanence, its intense and hop product driven to me, strata and strata cgx, krush, and citra cryo, heck of a combination thats got the krush out in front for me, such a distinctive varietal and it loves the citra support. i get heavy lemongrass, sativa nuggets, white coconut flesh, mango, and white peach from this, juicy and modern all the way, some grain starchiness but not a ton of character really, which i think is fine, sort of the recent norm for this series, which feels a little bit formulaic now, but these are some full character beers! uniformly hazy, mid murk, short lived near inch of white head, neither dull nor bright, just leaning into light orange. aroma and flavor are similar, fruit forward of course, meyer lemon, tangerine, apricot at peak ripeness, green grape, starburst candy, pineapple juice, really pleasant just so punchy and robust, long climax too, somewhat oily on the palate, and the hops stick around after the swallow without ever turning very bitter. massive citrus, some sweetness, krush stands above the other hops for me, and thats a good thing. high thiol, the palate does get used to it a bit, but maybe a little our of balance with the hop intensity. still, nice combination and super tasty overall, not as dense to drink as it looks but with good structure. solid again in this series, heady art too!
