Hazy pale yellow with a fairly foamy head. Some lacing, not too shabby.
Nose is earthy bitter, a little malty and kind of sweet. That's also the main key to the taste, except there's also a fun little pear element as well.
Body is actually pretty thick, almost syrupy.
Not too bad. Wish it was a little more refined, as it's a touch scattery, but all in all it is not bad at all.

Bottled 6/18/14, aluminum bottle poured into a tulip glass
A- pours a clear & bright golden-orange color with a paper thin fizzy white head that disappears quickly, leaving nothing at all behind
S- citrusy hop aroma up front with notes of tangerine & orange zest, sweet honey mixes with some floral notes, herbal with some buttered-bread doughy malt sweetness
T- nice attack of hop bitterness up front with an emphasis on orange and fresh cut grass, honey & floral sweetness kicks in mid-palate along with some graininess, finishes dry with more floral notes & bready malt
M- medium body and carbonation lead to a foamy & sudsy mouthfeel, closing with a dry finish, quite drinkable
O- nice to see a DIPA hitting the WV market. This one has some nice hoppy notes, but it's certainly not a tongue thrasher like many DIPA's out there. Overall enjoyable, but a little rough around the edges
EDIT: picking up a lot of buttery diacetyl notes as it warms
