Sampled January 2013, taken from review notebook. Had on tap at The Irish Pub, Lewisburg.
A- pours pitch black in color with a two-finger creamy light brown head that retains long after the pour, eventually leaving behind some great lacing
S- cereal grains with slightly smoky roasted malt up front, mixes with coffee, dark chocolate, cinnamon, piney hops and some peppery spice that almost gives a rye-like aroma
T- sweet and malty up front with a cracker-like sweetness that almost resembles graham crackers, strong melted chocolate kicks in mid-palate with a touch of coffee. The finish is dry with a good hop bitterness, however the linger a candy-like sweetness with a hint of chili
M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy. Kith feel and a slightly creamy finish, high drinkability
O- big and bold chocolate notes are brought out by the cinnamon and chilies, with just enough hops to balance it out. This stout rivals their coffee stout for me, hopefully they'll decide to make it again
