Tap

Pours a clear orange brown, white lacing for a head.

Smells of sweet biscuit malts with brown sugar and a bit of ginger.

Flavor is of coppery biscuit malts and caramel with a light hop note.

Medium body with tingling carbonation on the tongue.

Really tasty marzen. I like this one a lot and found it very drinkable. I hope I get the chance to try it again.

Poured into a nonic a deep rich copper/bronze with a fluffy and sticky white head atop, great rich clarity in the body and nicely formed head.Aromas are toasty and doughy but with not to much caramel sweetness. The feel is lighter than many but it don't take away much from the beer.Flavors are toasted with a little caramel and anise, again it't dryer than many new versions and that's a good thing.

Tried this one on tap at The Irish Pub in Lewisburg.

A- pours a dark brown with a slight haze, small light tan head with thick lace surrounding the glass. a layer of head rests on the surface long after the pour.

S- interesting nose, picking up some creamy melted butter, along with a sharp nuttiness. A bit of cellar-like well water as well.

T- very nutty, out of the gate it feels like I'm drinking a nut brown ale. A bit of caramel malt with just a hint of hops kick in the back end, I also pick up a bit of fresh cream, similar to the butter like nose. Finishes dry with an almond- like linger.

M- medium body, medium-spritzy carbonation, foamy mouthfeel.

O- Not your typical Oktoberfest, I picked up a lot of nuttiness not typical with most Oktoberfests. It is however very drinkable and makes a great Fall seasonal beer. The tastes were well balanced and I enjoyed this one! I found myself wanting another.
