12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 2/20/2018. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, melon, mint, anise, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted bread, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/piney/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, melon, mint, anise, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted bread, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, melon, mint, anise, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, toasted bread, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/piney/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great, Zero warming alcohol for 7.1%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/piney/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and eqasy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Definitely tastes like 100% Summit hops, as I expected form the name. Very vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. I know that some people don't like this hop, but I really do. Great mix of earthy and citrus notes. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
