6/14....pours bright gold with light layer of white foam. Gritty pilsy nose, some citrus. Funky earthy taste lemon background. Apples too? Kind of glommed together and not quite there.

Way too foamy. Might have been a bad batch but it was just way over carbonated. Took away from a possibly good taste.

Appearance, hazy yellow with a nice off white head
Smell, somewhat hoppy buy you can smell the yeast as well.
Taste, delicious maltyness that finishes with a nice belgian yeast flavor hops are present but not the main event.
Mouthfeel, nice and light a truely great summer beer.
Overall good stuff.

Not a bad take on a Belgian style from a newish American brewery. Pours a pretty golden color with a bright white head. Some phenols in the scent giving me some legitimate Belgian vibes. Taste is mild, inoffensive on the whole with some of those Belgian phenols again. This might be a decent choice to use as a gateway beer for someone. There are some familiar fizzy yellow beer notes along some more interesting twists and turns along the way. I wouldn't compare this to Orval but if you look you can see some of the same connective tissue. This beer makes me interested to see if the New Jersey beer company ever puts out a Belgian strong ale. This beer makes me think they could pull off a decent one, if not a very good one.
