Velvety, smooth and delicious, peanut butter and raspberry jam rule the taste of this Imperial Porter.
Pure nostalgia. Everyone's favorite sandwich, now in beer form. We brewed up a 6% Porter and conditioned it on peanut butter and raspberries. Go ahead, crack the can and call your mother over to cut the crust off.
Cheers, Dave Manka, Senior Brewer and the NJ Beer Co. Team: Bill, DJ, Erin, Francisco, Harlan, Javi, Joel, Justin, Lauren, Lizzi, Paul, Rob & Steven.

Tastes like a generic porter with hint--just a hint--of peanut butter and berry/fruity smell. The beer has little sugar/sweetness, so they really failed on this one. Why have a big juicy peanut butter and raspberry jelly sandwich on the front, if the beer might as well be sugar-free? And again, the hint of PBnJ is just a hint, it's not a strong odor. Without the brand name, it'd just be a strange smelling porter. I'm not a fan of porters, but a regular, well-made porter beats a strange smelling one any day. It needs more sugar and a lot more flavor and smell to match the can choice. Next time make it an imperial or triple-something to get the flavors going. Go big or go home. The packaging label went big, the beer went home.
