Pours almost black with a large creamy head.
Nose shows heavy roast, pine, resinous hops and some earthy spicy notes.
Very aggressive flavours, lots of dry roasted malt with a hint of coffee followed by piny and spicy hops. A very sharp, biting bitterness follows in the finish.
Nice moderate carbonation suits the beer well.
