Hazy Pale Ale with a fresh and fruity burst from an eclectic mix of NZ and US hops. We kept it pretty relaxed on the ABV but it still jams out a punch for you hazy heads. A chill brew to make the birds sing whether the sun is shining or not

Purchased from First Choice Liquor in Waurn Ponds in December 2023 and drunk a week later in January 2024.
L: Muddy, custard yellow in the glass, with a long-lasting, very bright, white head that leaves lacing all the way down the glass. No carbonation can be seen through the murk.
S: Cantaloupe, stonefruit and dankness, with the latter likely making its presence felt due to the age of the can.
T: There's a strong bitterness to the beer, which I suspect is a function of age (it's two months from its best-by date, so I'm going to assume the can is ten months old. Under that, there's a sweet, long, fruity note that brings cantaloupe to mind as per the nose, but then the finish is a weird, almost overripe peach note, which I again assume is a function of age. I'm probably going lenient on the mark here as the taste is weird, but I don't think it's the brewer's fault.
M: One of the reasons I think this beer is affected by age and the effect it can have on hop-forward beers is that I immediately get a soapy numbness in my mouth upon swallowing, and that sensation lasts all the way through the beer. Otherwise, the mouthfeel is soft, and carbonation is minimal.
O: Hard to judge this one. I grabbed this and a few others that were on special because they were near their best by, and I usually never do that, but I guess I was weak on the day in question!!!
