Holy piney hops, Batman. The syrupy sweetness combined with the acidic and salty piney hop tones on this kind of kill it for me. It's just too much, and not in a good way. Hop bombs can be nice, but there needs to be at least some degree of balance. There seems to be none here. And the aftertaste seals the deal with what seems like an unnatural marriage of characteristics. I opted for the small version and I could have dealt with an even smaller amount, as it became laborious trying to finish the beer. Unfortunately, this is a miss. If it disappears off the rotation forever, it will be no great loss. Especially if a better interpretation takes its place.
