This has quite a light body. There is a slight haze on the golden brew served in a 10 oz snifter.
Plenty of Belgian flavors. Less rich than many Tripels but it has penty of flavor. Tart fruit with hints of mango, dried pineapple, and the bitterish tang of pomegranate. Warm flavors but it doesn't taste at all like alcohol. Crisp and clean like a mountain stream running down the throat.
Really quite a pleasant version of a Tripel. Quite drinkable with lots of yeasty dry flavors. Reviewed at the brewpub in San Francisco 01/30/2013 and transcribed from notes.
