Served on tap into a tulip glass at the brewpub

A- Poured a dark brown with some reddish hues and an off-white soapy head that dissipated quickly leaving a fizzy ring of head and no lace

S- Some sweet maltiness and maple aroma. A little light and non distinct

T- Very sweet maltiness, kind of an aspartame (diet pop taste), some sweetness that tastes a little maple like. No roastiness or chocolate taste

M- Soft up front, but fizzy on the finish. Light bodied porter

O- Overall, this beer was drinkable, but did not remind me of a porter in the aroma, flavor, or mouthfeel. There was not a ton of maple flavor, but a lot of sweetness that I can imagine is from the maple.

Pours a clear, deep russet brown with a good cap of a light tan head that dropped fairly quickly.

Aromas of light roasted malt, maple syrup sweetness. Caramel candy.

Flavors of maple sweetness, roasted and caramel malts, licorise, no real hint of hops. Finish is medium, with a cola and maple sweetness, and a hint of lingering bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium, malty, a light drying astringency. Good level of carbonation.

Overall a nice touch, without too much sweetness. Deceptively easy drinking for its alcohol level.
