West Coast IPA (prev. Holey Dollar)
A true to style West Coast IPA with aromas of citrus, grapefruit and dank pine. Presenting a full mouthfeel with a sweet malt character balanced by a big hit of bitterness with dank sticky hops.

This was a Christmas present in 2024 that was drunk in January 2025.
L: A semi-hazy, copper-gold coloured beer with a fluffy, bright white head and a cavalcade of tiny bubbles bursting up the glass. While a traditional West Coast IPA would be crystal clear, this one is obviously nodding towards the 2020s, and I'm sort of ok with that...
S: The nose is big, dank citrus notes with a lighter tropical note hiding underneath.
T: Sticky, piney dankness, grapefruit, pepper and citrus all vie for the headline on this one. It's bitter, whacking me across the face with a slap from the IPAs of 15 years ago. The hop note burns on the way down, warmth sits in my chest and throat, and a numbness embraces my tongue and mouth. Loving this!
M: It's thick, almost a little chalky, but it all fits the delicious darkness of the beer like a charm. Carbonation is medium, and there are pricks of needles on the way down.
O: This is a great beer. While its haziness had me wary at the start, the flavour profile and whack of bitterness won me over. I would definitely have this one again.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
