16oz can, 4pk purchased for $8.99

Poured at fridge temp into a weizen glass

Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a creamy and tightly packed bubbly head

Aroma is standard for the style, citrus, clove, touch of grain

Taste follows, none of the ingredients really outshine the other, which I suppose is a good way to say its balanced.

Moderate carbo and soft mouthfeel.

Overall a decent hef, that I enjoy over other canned locals because its a full pint

Poured from an undated 16oz can, purchased in Moab.

On the pour what immediately strikes me is the lack of head, and the clarity. Body is a clear golden yellow. More haze in my second glass.

Aroma is bready in a doughy sort of way a touch of holiday spice like sweetness sits in the back.

Taste is essentially all malt with a subtle lightness that maybe implies some citrus before the sweet but doughy bread comes rushing in with some caramel sweetness, and a toasty nuttiness which I didn't expect at all from this beer. It's not bad, but calling this a hefeweizen is straight up misleading, unless there was a mix up on the canning line... No traditional hefe flavors here. Nothing other than asthetic changed on my second pour.

Feel is light verging on chalky at first then as the body develops and the malt really starts making itself known the chalkiness builds to a slight astringency. Finish is medium, but extremely malty feeling. This beer throws me off.

Overall I was expecting a hazy wheat beer, not something extremely similar to the Dead Horse Amber, which is an entirely different style. At least give me some sort of head retention if you're not gonna do anything else right.

On draft at Moab brewery

Brewers notes Our American unfiltered wheat ale is brewed with Red Wheat, 2 Row, Carapils and Munich malts. A staff favorite that hits the spot no matter what time of year.
IBU 26 • 5% ABV

Thin white foam layer quickly evaporates to a ring, some lacings , translucent golden beer

Faint yeasty aroma

Faint yeasty taste , barely a banana hint, only a very faint clove

Mouthfeel is thin, fizzy

Not my first choice for this style, they are missing the yeast component

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a clear golden with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had some clove notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with hints of banana and clove flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.
