Decent Pale Ale don't remember too much about this beer because how long it's been. This beer was fairly decent from my rating.

Pours a slightly hazy amber, nice 2" head with strong retention and lacing. Nose is grapefruit peel, light pine and tree sap, sweet malts. Taste is alternates between sweet and danker elements in a muddled kind of way, some woodsy or dusty notes as well, finish is a little hot. Mouthfeel is full, maybe a little syrupy.

Sampled at the brewery the other day. The state mandated low abv. draft beers weren't all that great, so I was hoping this full strength beer (served from the can at the brewpub) would be a improvement. Oh well...

The beer pours a light copper gold color with good head retention and fairly decent lacing. On the nose, I'm not picking up a whole lot. There's some balsa wood, light white pepper and a hint of citrus, but it's fairly faint. The flavor profile is lean and fairly dry, but there's some noticeable sweet malt flavor in the mid palate. Still, the flavors don't seem to mesh all that well, and the finish is a bit gritty and slightly hot. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a fairly short, slightly boozy finish. Alcohol is fairly well integrated into the flavor profile, and so drinkability isn't too bad.

Shrug. This is a decent APA, but it really doesn't stand out. Given some of the readily available APA's on the market from various national breweries (SNPA for example), it's hard to imagine a situation where I'd ever want to order this on a regular basis.

This pale is fine. It is almost the exact par of what a pale can be. We struggled to find anything defining about it. Do you know what a pale tastes like? Yeah? Welcome. This is that.

A pour that is somewhere in between a light copper and dark gold color, 1/3" white head. Aroma didn't pop of hops like you would hope for in the better representations of pale ales in this day and age. Just was kind of a dusty malt feel to it, smelled more malt than anything else.

Ooof, this kind of tastes like they wanted to make a pale ale red ale hybrid. Some crystal malt. A little bit of C hop bitterness, grapefruit and tree bark. Carbonation seems slightly lower than average. I dunno man, its already a pretty simple review: balanced ipa (which means way too much malt relative to hops IMHO). I mean there are no off flavors, I've had it numerous times, its consistent, but just doesn't seem to jive with consumer direction on pale ales the last 20-30 years. Maybe in Utah.

I guess if there was someone who liked pale ales, but doesn't like hops (English ipa guy?) this might be a beer you could recommend to them. For me I can't figure out how this is desireable, but someone likes it, jeez, 3.88 score for a pale ale that tastes like Newcastle and Killian's did a mashup.

I tried a can of this at the brewery. It poured a clear copper with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had subtle citrus peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter hop presence some citrus flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a very good beer.

L: Pours a clear copper orange color with a creamy white head that dissipates rather quickly. But leaves lots of rings of lacing around the glass.

S: Slight floral and aroma hops, maybe a little bit of fruit and then some toasted malt.

T: Sweet malt, mixed with a slightly piney bitterness and some fruit.

F: Medium to light body, creamy carbonation

O: This is a average American Pale Ale

Medium amber with a large head
Smells is equally sweet and hoppy but extremely faint
The malt character here is awesome, sweet but somewhat dark, with just enough hops to balance it out
Overall I would recommend if not just because this one's a little unique

Canned 6/9/17

Single bought at a State liquor store in Park City. Consumed on 8/3/17

Nothing special, wouldn't buy again. No nose, needs more hops.
