As with so many good things in this world, simplicity is the key to Moab Brewery's Pilsner. Lightly kilned, malted barley and spicy Noble Hops (Tettnanger and Saaz), create the aroma and flavor of this German Pilsner. Sandstone filtered Moab spring water gives this Pilsner its light and crisp finish. This is the gateway to craft beer!

Appearance: Pours a clear golden with a massive rocky head that sheets the glass
Smell: Malty with a subtle hop aroma
Taste: Malt forward with a biscuity flavor; just a hint of hops and somewhat sweet finish
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: Not quite what I am seeking in a Pilsner but easy drinking

16oz can poured into a pils glass
Pours a dull gold with a fair loose head that settles pretty fast
Malty and subtle hop aroma
Malty, crisp, and maybe a hint of barley? Has some deeper flavors I couldn't name
Pretty filling and effervescent

Lightly foggy gold with a puffy white head settling to a bubbly blanket leaving wildly craggy yet rounded lacing on the not entirely clean glass here at Moab Brewery.
Quite delicate, this largely consists of fresh baked buns but with a very mildly crusty bitterness, overall verging closer to Helles territory in sweetness.
The rounded, fluffy medium body finishes gently dry.

i had expected a little more out of this one, a simple lager at a place thats been around awhile, this should be dialed, but instead its oddly fruity like they got the fermentation temperature wrong, bubblegum and taffy and cotton candy notes to this, really awkward in a style that should be clean and bright and dry, this really doesnt make any sense, and while my palate gets used to it quick and i drink this up anyway, it really doesnt belong in here. it looks nice, clear golden color with lots of bubbles and a short but constantly replenished little white head. it smells like it tastes, curiously estery from the yeast, nothing lager about it to me, aside from a slight breadiness right up front, but its not crisp and clean, almost has a belgian essence, definitely a sign something isnt right. i like the lively mouthfeel, great peppy carbonation on this, and the grain seems right, european and earthy and minimal, even some apparent noble hops at the end, but i cannot forgive this fermentation profile, its just off and it does a disservice to what seems like an otherwise decent pils. this was my experience with several moab beers on this visit, lots of potential but nothing quite perfectly done...

Off white head that formed lace on the side of the glass as I drank the beer. Crisp clean with a delicate hop profile. The beer was brewed well. I rather enjoy this easy to drink flavorful yet delicate beer

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a clear yellow with white head that did not leave any lace. The scent had subtle grass notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grain flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.
