Change gears for a smooth downhill ride! This well-balanced ale has six types of malt and four hearty hop additions. The end result - a deep amber color with a rich and complex profile.

Better than some Red/Amber Ales I've had, but I have definitely had better. Nice and light for a red/amber but a little too much on the hop addition, though not by much. Had on a trip to Moab 7 - 8 years ago.

On tap at Moab Brewery
A: Pours reddish brown with a frothy khaki head that settles to a firm layer and laces beautifully.
S: Toasty, bready, floral, faint citrus, a hint of fruity/berry kinda notes, and a touch of toffee sweetness.
T: Toasty bready malt, floral, citrus, orange zest, pine, a hint of berries, and just a touch of toffee sweetness.
M: Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, crisp.
O: Takes a little getting used to that 4% is the law in these parts. That being said, this holds its own as an amber.

Very balanced, very smooth, very clean, mild (but not Mild) ale. Touch of grainy bite, very soft alpha acids, a touch of thymey herbaceousness. Lots of lacing, nice mellow stickiness; extremely clean finish. Very refreshing ruby-orange amber—only lacking a bit in depth and complexity.
