On tap at the brewpub on 5/1/11. Served in a pint, it appears a lightly hazed copper color with a thin white film for a head. It sticks across the top in a thin film and sticks across the glass with patchy lace.
The aroma is bright with citrus similar to grapefruit mostly. A touch of grass mixes with some fruity and floral aspect across the back. Overall not bad, a pretty standard representation of cascade usage in an APA.
Tastes like mild bitter grapefruit rinds balanced well with toasty malt sweetness. Mild fruity flavors mix with a lasting herbal hop aspect. The abv warmth creeps up the back of the throat creating quite a warmth for less than 6%. It leaves a lasting aftertaste of bitter and herbal rindy flavors.
This is a medium bodied brew that ismodestly carbonated. Well balanced and easy drinking. This is a brew that I could sit down an enjoy a few of while partaking in one of their delicious pizzas.

On tap at River House on 5/7/11.
A - Hazy light copper-toned orange with amber highlights around the bottom edges and one finger's width of creamy off-white foam on top that left a few streaks of lacing around the glass.
S - Citrus hop notes are apparent right away, followed by a hint of grass, butter and sweet malts. A slight whiff of catbox also emerged as the liquid warmed up a bit. However, the aroma is primarily juicy citrus fruit with sweet malt to balance.
T - Leafy green hops with a citrus flair and sweet pale malts to balance. Malt profile is rooted in a toasted grainy, bready territory, although sweet caramel is also present. A hint of alcohol and more toasted grains develop in the backend. Well-balanced with a fairly assertive hop presence for an APA.
M - Medium bodied with a hint of oily texture and modest carbonation. Finish is fairly crisp and semi-dry with a moderate hop bite on the palate.
D - Simple Cascadian pale ale that is quite drinkable and flavorful with a pleasant hop bite.
