On tap at the brewpub, served in a pint glass. This brew appears a clear straw yellow color with a thin white head that holds close to the edge of the glass. Fingers of lace sticks to the glass. A light swirl agitates a few bubbles out of solution.
The smell of this brew is fresh with a light grain scent a faint amount of fruited quality is present. Minor notes of sulfur mix with some herbal and grassy hops rounding out this subtle nose.
The taste is herbal with hops providing a modest bitterness, it is lightly grassy and fresh with light grains and a touch of sulfur in the back. It is very well balanced with a light fruity quality adding some interesting complexity at times. The hops linger inside the mouth and do a great job of contrasting the grain and alcohol flavors.
This brew is very crisp making it quite drinkable. It is light bodied and modestly to high carbonated but leaning more towards medium. This is very well done for the style, I could drink quite a few of these when in the mood.
