Aroma: sweet and bready, like dark bread indeed, but also pils malt lurking in the nose.
Flavor: It has an interesting bitterness, Noble hops, delicious complex bitterness up front, but also on sides and again in the back. Yummy. The beer also has a complex xweetness, a big hint of caramel in back, noticeable, but lurking in the middle, too. It's really hinting into Märzen beer territory, but still enough complex bitterness to keep it interesting. The long I drink it, the more it feels like it's in the middle of, I'd actually say the sweet spot between a Helles/Pils/Märzen. It's absolutely delicious, almost WOW beer. Fantastic beer. I'll look out for this brewery for more of their offerings.
Here's what they say about the beer from their website, translated by me:
"The longer-lagered variety of our Helles, as the name suggests. With a soft/mellow and floral character, it is a "Fruit-dwarf" in handbag form, which is also well received by the avoidable "weaker" sex."
Mmmm, I guess they want to say women also will dig it. They also say on the bottle that the aroma is "flowery," has a full body and it tastes like Schwarzbrot, or black bread.
