Enjoyed on tap at Old Chicago in Portland, OR (Mall 205 location)
Poured into a pint glass
P- hazy amber w/ a 1f white head; very little lacing left behind
N- soft nose; sweet blend of hops and bready caramel malt
T- small burst of sweet and resinous piney hops in the forward, followed mid-palate by smooth, light bready caramel malt sweetness; resinous notes come back in the finish, providing a mild bitterness; fairly tame profile, but well-balanced w/ good drinkability
MF- medium-bodied w/ medium carbonation; creamy, yet coating; a bit sticky in the finish
O- an average, but pleasant IPA

Pours a clear golden honey with a finger of foamy head that dissipates to a thin ring with strata of lacing. Faint aroma of citrus. Taste follows nose.

Good coloring and aroma, but the Ice Axe IPA, was missing complexity, a very 1 dimensional brew.

Had a pint today while having lunch with Da Boss today for $5.00. On nitro tap weighing in at 5.7 % abv.
Beer was served golden orange with a two finger head that never really dissipated.
Nose had hints of floral hops and not much else.
Taste was pretty well balanced between the pale malts bill and floral hops. A trace lingering pine bitterness was left after each sip that seemed oddly out of place for an English IPA.
Mouthfeel was light to medium bodied and very refreshing after a morning of hiking.
Overall a serviceable beer bordering on session that was enjoyable after our hiking.
