Poured from tap at the brewery.

Probably their best brew. Appearance is rather uninspiring, dark, little to no lace or head, no apparent carbonation.

The aromatics are quite lovely, lots of toasted, roasted malts, dark fruits, and a faint hint of smoked peat (reminds me of some of the aromas I get from a good Highlands Scotch). Rich and full on the palate yet balanced on the finish. Very good effort here.

I bought a growler to take, though it was even less carbonated after the hour and a half ride back to Portland!

This is a nice dark and robust porter. It is almost black, with a nice head. Toasty nose. It's a very forward brew with dark espresso coffee and a bit of chocolate on the palate, and just a bit of bitterness in the finish. Nicely carbonated and with a solid but workable mouthfeel that is just about right for a porter. Overall a very nice fall beer.

Served in the Imperial pint glass at Kell’s Pub in Portland. What I can make out in the dimlight, thisnis a nice darkbrown almost mahogany coloured ale with a smallish creamy tan head. I could not make out much aroma, just some maltiness , I think It was sderved too cold, or maybe the Lebanese food I ate earlier interfered. This was a very enjoyable porter thout a little unusual in the flavour , it has all the coffee/ dark chocolate flavours expected but also a rather sharp fruity undertaste, which was good, also you can get a little hop bite near the end of the mouthful. Very nice and quite smooth on the palate. A nice drinkable beer ( had 3 pints in quick order).

The Mt. Hood Brewery calls this Multorporter Smoked Porter in honor of Multorpor Mountain, the peak nearest to the town of Government Camp. It has a light toasty aroma with an enduring toast-and-peat flavor. It is fully opaque and trails stratified lace on the glass.

Porter fans take note: this one really delivers the goods. Hearty, charismatic, and well sustained.

Also known as the Multorporter. It is a typical porter but with a strong smoky aftertaste. It was a very rich flavor that reminds me of chocolate covered espresso beans. The pour resulted in a stubborn head with resilient lace that clings to the glass while I drank. It went well with my burger for lunch.

As smoked porters go, I tend to compare them all to the Alaskan tradition. This Northwest brew poured out with next to no head (probably due to the gracious bartender making sure I drank the most for my money) and a deep dark brown color. The aroma is very light and hints little of smoked malt. The body is buttery smooth with a very light smoke character. Goes down very easily, and comliments smoked BBQ well. On its own could use a bit more smoked infusion.
