This imperial stout was aged for 6 months in 12 year Bourbon Barrels. No adjuncts here, just Stout and Barrel. Notes of vanilla, roasted coffee, bourbon and oak are supported by a thick, silky smooth body with a hint of smoke. At 15.2% ABV this is the beer to get you through any adult timeout.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74----Cheers Dude!
This robust beauty pours a dark and murky blackish brown with a
thin head of khaki foam that dissipates quickly to a thin ring. Nose of
bourbon, vanilla, oak, cherry, raspberry, dark chocolate, char, and
rich dark coffee. Flavors follow nicely with dark chocolate, char, oak,
vanilla, brulee, dark cherry, dark coffee, and black strap molasses.
nice mouth feel; full body, slick, coating, warming, and subtle carbonation
with a lightly dry finish.

Overall----meaty, beaty, big, and bouncy. A whopper of a brew!

Cheers

12 ounce can, no dating on it but I believe this was an early March 2021 release. Thanks to my buddy Denis for picking this up for me! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with a thin tan head that didn't stay around for long. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like bourbon, oak, vanilla, roasted malt, coffee and some dark fruitiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some molasses, chocolate, smoke and brown sugar flavors. Good amount of barrel in both the aroma and taste. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and rich with a low amount of carbonation. Wish there was more carbonation, but that's a minor issue. Alcohol is hidden well here too, it's got a kick but doesn't seem like it's 15.2%. I thought this was a good overall brew, hoping Falls City will bring this one back at some point!
