12 ounce can, no dating on the can or label but this was purchased at the brewery a couple weeks ago. Thanks to my buddy Denis for giving me this can from the 6 pack he bought when we were there! Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so frothy tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like coffee, milk chocolate, caramel and roasted malt. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some burnt/charred malt and dark bready flavors. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall coffee stout, certainly worth trying if you can get it fresher or at the brewery. Always like stopping there when in Louisville!

Common sort of stout with coffee and roasted malts. Coffee taste is very clean. Nearly black with tan head that dissipates leaving a thin rim around the glass. Smells like ash and roasted coffee. Creamy mouthfeel. Overall plain but serviceable. The one-note coffee flavor grew on me as I drank it. I liked it just fine.
