A Pale Ale with a real difference. A little maltier in the English Style rather than hoppier like most American Pale Ales. Medium-bodied with sweet, bready malt aroma. And, its subtle hop aroma and bitterness balance the sweet caramel and biscuit malt backbone. Think of it as an Octoberfest that hasn't been lagered.

single 12oz can from the brewery
Pours a clear medium amber with a two finger, dense, off white head.
Not much aroma I noticed.
Malty sweet taste with a clean finish.

Tried it for the first time at my local joint. I was intrigued by the “English Style” label. My affection for Austin Powers, Brit coms, and John Clease drew me to the British flag atop the pull. Reminded me of New Castle, kind of a dry mouth feel. I knew what I was getting into with a Brit PA, but I guess I’d hoped for a sweeter, hoppier finish. Get it if it’s on sale, not much here, meh at best.

On tap on Louisville. Yum. Nice and different selection at this local eatery. That said, I always enjoy trying a brew I have not seen. This neither disappointed nor inspired.

A: The beer is relatively clear amber yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass and some lacing on the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of fruity malts are present in the nose along with notes of biscuit malts and hints of caramel malts.
T: The taste is a near mirror image of the smell, except that the malty flavors are a touch stronger.
M: It feels a bit shy of being medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a bit of smoothness in the mouthfeel.
O: This beer is easy to drink and is a good representation of the style.

I felt compelled to try this beer as I live in Louisville and am trying the local brews. This beer poured a clear beautiful Amber/burnt orange color. There was a very slight head which very quickly dissipated. It has a very pleasing aroma even somewhat floral I would say. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of bitterness which to me was lower than I expected. The bubbles/carbonation was light but still effervescent and I liked the way lightl tickled my tongue. I tasted a definite sweetness on the finish. Not a beer I would aggressively seek out but if someone served me this at a party I would be very happy. Overall a good beer.

Pours a beautiful clear golden color with a nice white head that quickly dissipates. Beautiful color.
Smells yeasty and hoppy.
Taste is more bitter than expected from an English ale. Some hop bitterness followed by yummy sweet malts. Yeast and oak on the finish.
Feels light as expected, easy drinking could have several of these.
overall its a beautifully presented beer. A little more bitter than I would like, as I prefer malt to hops, but that is preference. But good beer overall and easy drinking.
