In a different place, a different world. Sound of clatter, people walking below. The world is alive and I am right in it. The middle of it. There could be love, laughter… Please, I hope that there will be love and laughter.

A-Single bottle purchased at Botanic...like a deck and garden outlet w/an organic store. Uneven fill levels visible thoughout the display, but there were no short fills. Best by 9/24/10. Pours a yellow-gold w/thin, slightly off-white head. Faint haze. Not much retention.
S-Slightly sweet Pilsen malt w/faint lemon, dough, and just a touch of spicy hops. This reminds me of chiffon cake w/a hint of lemon zest.
T-Much like the smell. Slightly sweet upfront and malty midway w/nice clean hoppy finish. Aftertaste is of slight lemon, bits of mineral and salt, hops, and dough--refreshing.
M-Light-bodied w/flavors that impart a velvety character. I'm reminded of moist sponge cake w/a hint of spice. Carbonation is on the lower end, and this brew could benefit from a tad more.
D-Pleasant surprise...a good beer in an unassuming package. 1.25 euros a pop is a good price.

Beer bottle (33cl), tasted in 2005.
Appearance : golden color, with a white foamy head.
Smell : herbal hop aroma.
Taste and mouthfeel : Sweet-bitter flavour, malty base with balanced herbal notes, finish with a pronounced bitterness.
Drinkability : an average beer (bio) in the style German pilsener
