22 oz bottle poured into a goblet. Great tasting Belgian style dubbel collaboration with Smartmouth.

What can I say? My hometown brewers have absolutely NAILED this classic Belgian style. The smell is Nirvana, the taste is delicious, everything else is on point. Better than some actual Belgian dubbels I have had. Please, if you see this on a shelf or on tap, DRINK IT!!

Served on tap at O'Connor Brewing Company. I was impressed by the appearance of this handsome dubbel, but the taste was a bit lacking for the style, in my humble opinion. Overall, it's solid enough to come back to, but not my favorite.

This is the collaboration beer between O'Connor and Smartmouth.
Poured a brown body with minimal head. Aroma has hints of dark fruit, like plums, figs and, has that typical Belgian yeast strain/aroma. Medium to full bodied, the yeast adds a little sweetness and helps give a more robust body, and there is even touches of candi sugar/toffee malt sweetness. Dark fruits like raisins and figs come out a little but the alcohol does seem to make an appearance and overpower the beer at times because of a slightly medicinal finish. This isn't a bad beer at all but it's a little underwhelming for style.
