A heavy malt backbone is balanced by an outrageous hop profile. Dry hopped not once, but twice, our double india pale ale exudes flavors and aromas of tropical fruits and citrus.

A: Honey-gold pour, with a touch of haziness. The head is off-white, rich and creamy, with strong retention and a nice sheet of bubbly head left minutes following pour.

S: A nicely balanced aroma--hop forward, as it should be. The hoppy scent has some citrus and tropical fruit qualities along with a spicy herbal aroma. The malt backbone is rich in this one, imparting caramel / toffee warmth and a breadiness of a fresh bakery.

T: Flavours bring out some resin that is not detected as strongly on the nose. Herbal, spicy hops with some citrus zest. Again, flavours are rounded out by plenty of malts providing a sweet backbone.

M + O: Medium-full bodied, with just enough carbonation cutting through what might be a little too much stickiness if not present--though enough remains to leave behind a lingering aftertaste. This is an interestingly complex DIPA, well brewed and tasty.

Smells nice and juicy. Good body. Could use just a bit more citrus sweetness. But very good regardless.

Golden amber in color with a thick 3 finger off white head that leaves great lacing.

Smell of caramel/toffee malts with tropical fruits. Hints of mango, pineapple and citrus.

Taste is rather subdued after the aroma. Toffee, light citrus and bitter citrus peel are the standouts.

Medium+ in body and crisp with moderate carbonation. Light syrup. Astringent and drying in the end.

Bitterness dominates early, but it mellows out and the beer becomes more balanced, yet In the end, the sweet malts dominate.

I tried this at the brewery with my boss. It poured a slightly hazy copper with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had hints of citrus and pine. The taste was decently balanced...leaned sweeter but was easy to drink. The mouthfeel was fuller in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a solid beer.

12oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.

Mildly hazed amber colored brew, decent lacing on top. Smells of stone fruit, citrus pith, and caramel. Smooth with a juicy, semi pungent hop flavor. Bitterness is there but is not overwhelming. Warming with lots of fruitiness that has a pungent side to it. Warmth continues into the finish. A pretty good stab at the DIPA style.
