Had this on tap. Average tasting, just ok. The pub i tried this at (date of Sep. 14, 2019) listed this as an Imperial, but i see BA's ABV spec is 6.5%. If it really is an imperial, it hid the alcohol well.

Single into a shaker pint.
Normally a pretty usual customer at the brewery, but last year I completely missed the Octoberfest release. Trying it for the first time this year.
L-Pours a deep copper color with a creamy, soapy head.
S-smells typical of other Marzen style beers: chewy, doughy bread, some faint apple skin notes, lots of malt overtones with no hop presence cutting through
T-Sweet, bready malts much like the nose suggests. A bit of caramel stickiness on the back end.
F-Smooth, easy drinking, and medium bodied. Nothing bold or outrageous, but Oktoberfests aren't meant to be.
O-Pleased a local brewery drops a pleasant Marzen for the season, as it's one of my favorite styles. That being said, it's fairly forgettable on its own. I'll drink it again at the brewery with friends, but if I'm filling the stein up at home, I'll go for one of the classics like an Ayinger. Cheers!

A decent Oktoberfest.
Some clouding with a dark, orange/amber color. Very little head. Some lacing.
A nice bready smell from the bottle, but not much aroma carried over to glass.
Bready, malty taste with a that slight Oktoberfest tang.
Medium bodied. A little sticky, but not too much.

Poured a cloudy orange body with slight auburn tint body and minimal head and lace ring. Aroma is mostly dry malts with touch of bread along with pils malt sweetness and minimal citric hop notes. Medium bodied beer that is smooth and easy to drink; has this sticky sweetness like light caramel and pils malt along with this crisp hoppiness. Simplistic, two note beer that isn't bad but is not the best and seems designed for easy sessioning during Oktoberfest parties.

This beer is dark amber in color, with a huge light tan head. It invites you to drink with an intense sweet maple syrup smell, but unfortunately the taste doesn't live up to it, providing only some basic wheat flavors, and not perceptible hops.
