I tried this at the brewery with my boss. It poured a slightly hazy yellow with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had hints of biscuit. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a solid beer.

Decent Kolsch. Pint can with an image of the Norfolk Tides, the local AAA baseball team. Pours a clear light yellow color with a medium size head. Many bands of lacing on the glass. Head retention is a bit better than average. Light aroma of grassy hops. Taste is pretty good for a milder beer style. A malty beer with a little bitterness. Mouthfeel is light, a little bitterness, and an overall clean taste. Initially I noticed a soft pillowy feel followed up with a bit of hoppiness. A good light beer, would probably hold up for a session since the flavor is assertive enough for a low abv beer. A good choice for the summertime.

The can is dated with 03/25/16

Appearance: The beer is nearly perfectly clear. It is a bright gold yellow color with a medium sized pure white fluffy head.

Aroma: I can pick up a soft spicy hop aroma. I don't get any aroma from the malts.

Taste: The beer starts with this herbal hop character with a bit of an earthy undertone. This carries through the entire drinking experience and is the majority of the flavor of this beer. Some cereal flavor in the aftertaste but no sweetness at all. Some grain husk flavor in the aftertaste as well. It does taste very fresh but the malt doesn't push through a whole lot.

Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel of the beer is light and it is very drinkable. It finishes fairly wet but not sweet. The hop character gives it a nice edge.

Overall: It is a pretty good Kolsch that I would enjoy as a lawnmower beer or like the namesake at a baseball game.

On a side-note this beer was made as a collaboration with the Norfolk Tides baseball team. They have included the home schedule on the side of the can which is pretty cool.
