Has a nice clean subtle smell of pear but that's about the extent of it. A pretty bland belgian tripel with little to no hint of pear throughout the drink, actually tastes somewhat skunked. Worst beer I've had in a long time, would not recommend..

I don't see a date listed on the label or anywhere on the bottle:
Appearance: The body is a burnished gold color with very good clarity. Lighter shades of bright gold line the outer edges of the glass. The head is a thick and frothy white cap of medium height. Very good retention. It's a beautiful beer.
Aroma: There is a light bit of funkiness to the aroma with what smells like old paper, a bit of pink bubblegum, wet leaves, and a touch of clove.
Taste: Bubblegum comes through along with a light caramel sweetness. There is a bit of an earthy bay leaf flavor to the beer right in the middle. It finishes with a bit of clove. The sweetness of the beer builds as it is consumed.
Mouthfeel: The body of the beer rests on the lower edge of medium. The beer feels pretty clean but there is a light stickiness to the mouthfeel. It does a noticeably good job of hiding the alcohol flavor. Even as the beer warms a bit in the glass the hefty "9% ALC. BY VOL." (as indicated by the label) does not make an appearance.
Overall: The label on the bottle states that this is a "BELGIAN-STYLE GOLDEN ALE WITH PEAR JUICE." The pear juice seems to contribute nothing noticeable to the flavor or aroma. It is a sweet beer but there is no pear character. The sweetness can get a bit overpowering in the beer but the yeast character kicks back a lot of flavor to push against the sweetness. As a whole the beer is worth drinking if you enjoy Belgian Ales that are a bit stronger. It probably won't deliver the flavor you would expect, given the pear on the label, but the funky Belgian yeast flavor is nice. I wouldn't recommend it to people looking for a fruit beer or people who want a drier, less sweet Belgian Ale.
