Proper Lager has a very thick, off-white head and a somewhat hazy, bubbly, yellow-gold appearance, with minimal lacing. The aroma is of lemony cracker and herbal elements. The flavor is of moderately-bitter cracker and low sweetness. Proper Lager has a low-to-medium body and a crisp finish.

A very good example of the Helles Lager style. Bought a 12 oz can at The Casual Pint. Pours a clear bright gold color with a big pillowy white head. Good retention and some lacing on the glass. This beer is true to style. malty, soft pillowy mouthfeel, and mild fruity bitterness. It is crisp and light like a good lager. This could easily be viewed as a German import. Good job by O'Connor.

Pours a golden straw yellow with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is very bready, biscuit, light yeast aroma. Crisp smooth with a light flavor. Traditional to the style. Thin mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation.

I really enjoy finding a Helles lager that is born in Virginia. The pour is very clear as a true Helles, and you can gather the mouthfeel of a all-malt brew sweetness that comes with ample carbonation. The head formed is nearly white, and with some minor lacing on a pilsner glass. There is strong aftertaste of fruity i would call melon mixed with a crisp bite from the roast of the malt. A very good balance is in play here. There is mostly malt-forward smell with the finish being not dry at all but still clean enough to satisfy lager lovers. The abv is perfect for this crushable Helles and I found it amazing after a hot day.

Low ABV. Proper, as it is called. Good traditional crisp lager for summerly thirst. Smooth. Aftertaste is pleasant and not over powering. Great with food and alone. Great ice cold, but the flavor did not deteriorate at room temperature. Comes in a can.
