A: black in the glad with a creamy solid dark tan head.

S: cinnamon, vanilla, and is up front. Followed by coffee, chocolate, and cardamon.

T: coffee, vanilla, and brown sugar with cardamon and cinnamon bringing up the rear. Finish is barrel and bourbon.

M: medium, with a touch of creaminess. A long linger from the barrel aging.

O: overall a pretty damn fine beer.

From the bottom of the can: "11/15/2019 09:56"

Appearance: The body is black and it has a thick frothy brown head. It has moderate retention and it fades out to a thin ring of foam around the glass. Spotty lacing.

Aroma: There is a light wood aroma to the beer with a hint of what smells like coffee grounds. A hint of alcohol is in there too. There is a light hint of burnt caramel that sometimes comes through with deep inhalation.

Taste: Up front there is a clear bourbon flavor with a strong charred wood note. There are hints of cinnamon and caramelized sugar. It has light flavor of espresso as the beer leaves the palate. It is a very well done beer. The flavors are very clear and pronounced. As a whole it leans closer towards the wood flavor.

Mouthfeel: It is smooth and full bodied with this tannic dryness that is often found in barrel aged wines or beers. It has a very elevated quality to the beer.

Overall: It's a fantastic beer. The label states that this is "Bourbon Barrel-Aged" and that this is an "Imperial Turkish Coffee Stout." It checks all of the boxes in the advertisement category. The bourbon character is there with this nice mixture of wood aged flavor that mingles with the high alcohol of the beer very nicely. The barrel lends its character to the beer very noticeably. The coffee is not overly present but it shows up towards the end of each sip and it has a nice espresso flavor. I enjoyed it and I would buy it again. I would highly recommend it.
