From the bottom of the can: "09/22/2020" (there is a time code but it is a bit smushed together, reads something like 01:15)
Appearance: The body is a mix of medium-dark and light golds. It is hazy but fairly clear shadows are visible through it. It has a very short white head that fades to a film.
Aroma: There is a light sour fruit aroma which smells a bit like raspberries. Cupping the glass gives off some light clove aroma.
Taste: Up front there is clove and a light wheat flavor with a hint of tart strawberry. This flavor stays consistent to the end, where it picks up a lot more wheat character. The aftertaste is wheat.
Mouthfeel: It is smooth and medium-light bodied with mild carbonation. Very easy to drink.
Overall: The can states that this is a 'PUMPKIN BERLINER WEISSE WITH VANILLA, CINNAMON, NUTMEG, & GINGER." The base beer for this Pumpkin Beer, Berliner Weisse, is really good. There is a subtle clove-like flavor and aroma which isn't mentioned on the can, so this could be from the yeast or something else. The vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and the ginger are all absent in this beer in both the flavor and the aroma. What this beer lacks in spice it makes up for in its base beer quality. I wouldn't buy it as a "Pumpkin Beer" but I would buy it and recommend it with a strong caveat that it isn't what is advertised.
