2021 Specialty Series: Coconut Samoa Imperial Stout

Another good one from O'Connor! Poured from a 12 oz. can into a pint glass this beer has a dense black color, a small fizzy light brown head with average retention and some small foamy patches of lacing on the glass. The head is plenty good enough for such a strong beer. Aroma and taste primarily feature strong bready malt and the flavor from the bourbon barrel. The coconut is more subdued and there is some vanilla in the mix too. Very tasty!!!! Mouthfeel is rich and mostly smooth but there is a hint of alcohol presence here too! The rich flavor makes it. The can called it a"tropical dessert but had it with chicken in an Indian flavored sauce and the beer was a perfect pairing!!!!
