First of all, it was a pale ale that wasn't pale. It's actually fairly malty and the beer has a deep copper color. But despite the "pale ale" misnomer, this beer is very pleasant and drinkable. The hop finish makes a nice transition from maltiness.

Pours a clear gold color. 3/2 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of floral hops, citrus hops, hint of alcohol, sweet malt, slight resin, slight caramel malt, and a hint of pine. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of floral hops, citrus hops, hint of alcohol, sweet malt, slight resin, slight caramel malt, and a hint of pine. Overall, good appearance complexity, blend, and lighter in body than the average APA.

Draft pint at Max&Ermas in Norfolk VA. Honeyed biscuit aroma and flavor. Really good! Light gold color. Thin white head. Surprising Medium to heavy body. Minimal hops. Honey biscuit in a cup. Right up my alley . Yum. I love malt forward and this hits the spot.
