From the can, it pours a clear brown color with a nice light tan head that slowly reduces and leaves some lacing. The nose gets a light roasted malty scent. Taste follows nose, with a pleasant dark malt tmave flavor coming through.

Good one from O'Connor!!!! Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass, this beer features a dense brown color with some reddish light coming through. Medium cream colored head with better than average retention and a little lacing on the glass. Aroma is malty, with a little floral aspect. Taste includes lots of slightly sweet malt, some mild floral hoppy bitterness and a little mild earthy, dank characteristics. Mouthfeel is light and crisp with some hoppiness to breakup the predominantly malty character. this one goes down easy and would be a very enjoyable session beer.

There doesn't appear to be a date on the can or the label.
Appearance: The beer is a very dark brown to the point where it is nearly black. It has a very dark reddish-brown color that shows up when light comes through the glass. Although it is very dark it has good visible clarity where light makes it through. The head is short, creamy textured, and light tan. It has excellent retention and mild creamy wisps of lacing.
Aroma: There is a light tea-like aroma with earthy and mossy hop notes. There is also just a bit of spicy hop character. There is an earthy malt note that comes across as coffee for a bit. There is a very light caramel scent.
Taste: Up front there is a bit of black tea with notes of black licorice and tobacco. The middle of the palate has the same flavors but it takes on a touch of a bread flavor and just a bit of brown sugar. The back of the palate is a bit of sweet black tea and brown sugar with a hint of cola. The aftertaste has a bit of a toasty character. The flavors are simple yet phenomenal.
Mouthfeel: The body is on the upper-edge of light bodied and teeters into the lower edge of medium just a touch. It has a light smoothness but it always remains clean. Carbonation feels a bit on the high-end but it works for this specific beer.
Overall: It's a simple and excellent tasting beer. The label on the can states that this is "MALTY | CLEAN | COMPLEX" and it is accurate. The beer has some wonderful malt flavors and it tastes very clean. Although the aromas are a bit light they are complex and match the flavor profile very well. I would highly recommend it and I would buy it again.
