Big black body with thick sticky khaki head. Almost looks like it was served on nitrogen, but its not.
Mild roasty toastiness with sugary chocolate, hint of creamy vanilla on the nose.
Tastes like a smooth Imperial, chocolate abounds with cream highlights, countered with light roasty and slightly herbal bittering finish.
Pretty light feeling, but not watery at all. Creamy with no syrupy residual. Nice and drinkable.
Overall, one of the best beers I have drank at Lovejoy's. Would drink this over many heavier and more renowned Imperials, including Ten FIDY.
