Not sure why it says retired, I just had several pints of this on tap at Lovejoys recently:
A - Cloudy golden orange color, slight head.
S - Citrus/floral scents dominate the nose.
T - Very well balanced pale ale, bready malt balances well with the citursy hoppiness.
M - Medium bodied, light carbonation
D - This is a great session beer, had these all night.

This poured a rosey amber color with a full off-white head and clumps of lace. The aroma is mild but pleasant malt and flowery hops. The flavor is a nice mellow blend of mild floral hops and malt. Very nice mouthfeel, a bit velvetty with a hint of rye and sweet bread. The bitterness is refined and sweet. Easy drinking. Not a bad introduction to this quirky and extremely likeable brewpub hidden in the downtown recesses of Austin town.
Update 2011 - Stopped in Lovejoy’s and enjoyed this cask pale ale. Poured into a pint glass it shows a hazy dark amber color with a delicate off-white fizz on top and only scant signs of any lacing. The smell is of minor yeasty toffee with a woodsy swamp hint in there. Kind of skiddish but not a bad deal. The taste is a somewhat grainy blend with a mild lemon hop. Simple but effective. Pretty typical feel for a cask brew, a bit aqueous, smooth with about nil for carbonation. The hop side seems to build as you go so this brings a nice little bite for a pale ale. Very drinkable with decent flavor. Definitely worth a try. This gives me a respectable opinion on Lovejoy’s house beers and I’ll be sure to try more.

Appearance: Murky brownish-orange with a small off-white head, cloudy with modest carbonation, and lots of broken lace.
Aroma: Sweet orange hops, prominent, but mild, very pleasant.
Taste: Begins with a strong burst of oily, bitter hops which carry throughout, the malt presence is overshadowed by the hops. The finish is crisp with a lingering medicinal bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and velvety, with hints of soft carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: Rather one dimensional, the hops tend to obliterate most of the malt character.
This serving was drawn form the lees of the keg, somewhat to the objection of the bartender. Nonetheless, I wanted to try it, as friends who were with me and whom had tried it before found it to be excellent and because it was my first opportunity to try a cask-conditioned ale. I suspect that it is a better pale ale than my review would suggest.
