Cozy small town cafe, one employee was taking care of the entire place. Relaxed coffeehouse sort of vibe. Some bar snacks available, we had nice mixed charcuterie plate. A younger group flooded in after a Game of Thrones party upstairs, and that was our cue to leave. I spoke with a local patron randomly at the bar, and he was impressed that we were visiting for Toer De Geuze.
Excellent unblended lambic here, insanely drinkable. I had several glasses while we were here, and brought home a 5L box. Bright citrus, dill, Brett funk, and a long oaky finish. They are a promising newcomer on the traditional lambic scene, and recently won the annual Lambikstoempers award for 2019.
