A blond beer of the Scone brewery. It pours a bright, golden beer. The head fades fast and leaves a small layer of foam on the side of the glass. Moderate carbonation.
Smell is malty and has some definate spicy notes. Coriander and anise come to mind. The spices are submerged in the malt of the beer and are not overwhelming.
The beer tastes spicy too, where the anise adds a nice edge to the standard blond type. Bitterness is low and hops are not very apparent. Mouthfeel is smooth and just a bit sweet, but not sticky. Body is good for this kind of beer. While tasting this beer, sip by sip, I empty the glass within 10 minutes, so drinkability is good. Excellent beer!
