Decent beer. Came in a rather shabby looking 12-pack, with a picture of a deer with barley grain on either side. Similar to the Unibroue label, but replace the U with a white tail buck. Poured a nice red. Bit on the darker spectrum, but not very dark. Kind of looks like the red seen in a decent sunset. One finger head. Not very thick, but that sucker lasted til the end. Impressive. Bit of one sided lace. When you tip the beer, lace appears where the beer flows from the glass to the mouth. Not much anywhere else. Smells a bit hoppy. Unexpected surprise. Aromatic hops blend with bitterness. Nice. Barley scent as well. Taste starts out hoppy. Cascade and Centennial? Definite Cascade hops used. Middle is a heavy barley taste. Ends with a blend of bitterness and wheat. Mouthfeel is a bit heavy/thick and smooth. Something to be purchased again. Perhaps not a heavy session beer, but an enjoyable brew to have.
